RÉSIDENCE VACANCES
Tourist activities to discover in the summer around Résidence Vacances Piau-Engaly
The tourist activities surrounding the Piau-Engaly self catering resort are an opportunity to get to know the heritage and culture of the Hautes-Pyrénées. Piau-Engaly is located in the Aure Valley, which has “Area of Art and History” status. This large valley is home to lively villages, like Saint-Lary-Soulan and Arreau. With local crafts, markets and farm products, some great discoveries await! The Pyrenees cuisine is a journey in itself, combining the flavours of the South with the scents of the mountain. Try garbure (a thick soup), trout, lamb, haricot tarbais (white beans), Trébons onions, and farmhouse cheeses... It's such a treat! Discover the Spanish side of the Pyrenees, just a few kilometres from this self catering resort in the Hautes-Pyrénées: Bielsa, Ainsa, the Anisclo Valley, the famous Aragon canyons and above all the Monte Perdido mountain range with its hanging glaciers, which are UNESCO world heritage sites. Heading into Spain, you may be tempted by a little shopping in the “ventas” (shops) at the border, or by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the “bodégas” (corner shops). Long live the fiesta!
Live to the rhythm of the destination
July: The Piau Trail in Aragnouet. July/August: in the heart of the resort is the Edenéo aquaplay centre with relaxation pool and aquatic activity pool
